From The Cold To The Flame

From The Cold To The Flame By Jesse Scobie

From the beginning till the end
From spring's bosom to winter's dark
From the sleepy hollows o f yesteryear
To the snowy tops of a life complete
Truth always stays the same
From the cold to the flame

From children laughing in delight
From serpent's hissing at the walls
From the girls of love long gone
To the acceptance of what is
It will all continue to change
From the cold to the flame

From prisons of doubt and ceilings of fear
From the depths of a poor man's den
From the pools of a rich man's fountain
To seek the heart of nature
Riding on the forgotten train
From the cold to the flame

From a solemn spot on a dreamy hill
From the moon's sweet summer home
From the blessings of a family tree
To the stars of destiny and fortune
Through sunshine and through rain
We break through all the chains
From the cold to the flame
