Sisters of Good Fortune (song)

Sisters of Good Fortune By Jesse Scobie

Chords: Ab Eb Bb F
You were born in summertime, in an European city so divine
From far away we traveled to find our destinies unraveled
Discovering your young soul

In the breadbasket country we were, to find a long lost sister in winter
Deep snow fell as we rode on the train, yet we still didn't know your name
But not much further was our goal

We walked into an orphanage that had so many forgotten kids
And in a small room we found, a girl who turned our eyes around
Bumped our heads and fell into our lives

The three of us said "She's the one" and right then came out the sun
To shine on our family all these years, the joyful music to our ears
A sister, daughter finally arrived

But even though we were so proud and happy, a voiced echoed loud
That there was still one more long lost sister for us in store
Though it would still take time to see

Mom helped find more families for the lost children living overseas
So many sad faces turned into smiles but still we looked for another child
And then one summer she came to be

She felt right at home with sister, mother, father and brother who showed
We had the love to share with a funny girl who only wanted to be cared
For and soon our family would be complete

So only one more thing remained, was to get another sister from Ukraine
This time the city was by the sea where one more sister longed to be
In the arms of a family so sweet
It was meant to be, as anyone could see..
