Meet Me in Lexington on a Saturday (song)
Meet Me In Lexington On A Saturday Jesse Scobie A section You come jumping off that train, Faster than a mighty hurricane It surely will drive me insane When you come running back to me You’ve been through thick and thin Hit rock bottom with that gin Bit your lip with a fearless grin You make a man, so hard to see B section I know that I’ve been, not quite the gentlemen An aristocratic, symptomatic bottle of love But you’re Queen Mary’s sin, brings me back again A shooting star passing through a dove So come and rain on my lovely parade Cause I only want to hear you say “Meet me in Lexington on a Saturday” A It’s 2012 and the world is sure to end You could say I’ve been your truest friend Only time can tell, who it will bend The only heroes are all forgotten Scream through your social masks Blaze that trumpet, through the glass You’re one of a million in first class Half the world, still picks cotton I know that it’s sinking, I know what you’re thinking Four leaf clovers are head and shoulders The train is your Lincoln, so keep on winking Your life is still rolling at the borders Just keep a listening to my serenade Till your worries and troubles fade And “Meet me in Lexington this Saturday” Jazz trumpet solo followed by piano solo B section (ending) Freedom is a feeling, that I kept on stealing From those golden pocket memories A waltz on the Danube, getting to you I’m solo captain long lost at sea So come on up here, before it’s too late Take my hand and we’ll sail far away No need to pray, you just need to say.. “I’ll meet you in Lexington on a Saturday!”

Second, Third and Fourth Thoughts (poem)
SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH THOUGHTS By Jesse Scobie
A trimmed lawn, gleaming in the pale of the afternoon
Deer running against the wind, from afar
The lexicons are subtle and filled with precautions
A baby cries in the doorway of the distant star
The robins will sing the "day of song", luxuriously
Sipping a mocha latte, I see them flirt
With a freedom found in a mother's womb
The orator cannot communicate the hurt
If you, who is wisely unflavored and susceptible
Come to the temple of fortunate trees;
And limp with the couplets of romantic passion
Find Venus, Mars crumbling on your knees
Speaking with politicians and cloaked salesman
Of walking the trapeze line in Gomorrah;
Or Arjuna seeking the light of forgiveness
In a handful of rain; silk windows ablaze
Star Child In Exodus (song)
Star Child In Exodus By Jesse Scobie
4,000 degrees shooting through the milky way
Shattered spirits follow, the body ignites
Into invisible flames into our yesterdays
He comes with a promise, he leaves with a fight
He walked with Jesus and he conquered Zeus
Built the pyramids and formed the great wall
From a lineage of healers he holds the truth
With a key he can open the meaning of it all
Star child in exodus
A true being of the millennium
A wonder to people everywhere, look into his eyes and stare
Star child in exodus
Chosen prophet of the universe
He comes to us in many forms, from many lives he is reborn
Beyond the castles walls and the fortress doors
A girl is shifting through the sands of time
Clouds are her pillows, the sky is her shore
When the moon is buried, she still shines
A maiden for Isis, follower of Joan of Arc
She's been the prayer of a thousand flames
The voice of courage in a young girl's heart
A Mother Theresa to extinguish all of the pain
Star child in exodus
A true being of the millennium
A wonder to people everywhere, look in her eyes and star
Star child in exodus
Chosen prophet of the universe
She comes to us in many, from many lives she is reborn
The Ballad Of Trayvon Martin (song)
THE BALLAD OF TRAYVON MARTIN By Jesse Scobie
Em G D A
On a long, dark February night
Am G F#m A
On the streets of a Florida town
Em G D A
A black boy in a hoddie was in sight
Am G F#m- D- G- Em
A young man was scared to be found
(repeat chords)
Well the boy was just walking his way home
Back from the local 7-11 store
Bought some Skittles while on the phone
Within minutes, he was dead on the floor
The white man was a watchman
For the Twin Lakes neighborhood
A frustrated, desperate young man
Who knew not much from good
The boy was visiting his grandfather's place
At seventeen, he was no fugitive
Not picking a fight, just minding his space
But soon it wasn't his choice to live
The man phoned 911 in panicked fear
A suspicious shadow he saw,
And then just as if he was a deer
He shot young Martin in the raw
When the police arrived, he stood calm
He claimed he shot him in self-defense
Florida has a Stand your ground law
I wonder if it accounts for immoral sense
The media jumped on the frenzy train
Some said he was crazy, some joined his side
Others even said that it was Martin to blame
He should of avoided walking that night
George Zimmerman, not related to Bob
Is now in for the fight of his life
But in 2012, this just makes you sob
When these crimes come out in the night
To those, too blinded by hate to see
I've got one more message to give
Though the judge might hear your plea
He's not the one, above who forgives

Symphony Of A Hidden Muse (poem)
SYMPHONY OF A HIDDEN MUSE Jesse Scobie
Waking up in the early morn, with the ship rising over the docks
Sipping my jack and coke, trying to write like Edgar Allen Poe
Frankie is singing "Fly Me To The Moon" in my mind, locked
My muse is dripping colors into the pools of Bethesda Row
Crystal aqua eyes, melting in the sound of Purple Haze
Laura's got a sexiness that burns out Jimi's guitar
Making all the boys turn into stone with hypnotic gaze
My muse shines through her, split through skies afar
MLK is showing me the path, down a Selma road
Shifting through life's follies in an Galileo telescope
Trading skin for intellect and warm embrace for cold
My muse is the bard of equality through sands of hope
Come on the path with me, my brother
And see the world as a diamond sphere
Come on the path with me brother tonight
Blessed fortune wipes out the tides of fear
Smile away as life's own circus disappears
Famous Jackie smoking j's on an Amtrak train
I gotta leave the Rockville diner in the early light
D.C.'s still a fucking nowhere land, living in vain
Senator who and Congressman "let me cause more pain"
Food for the hungry, time and sympathy for the rich
Turn my facebook into dust and trade it for fresh air
Closets full of oil, gold and clothes that never will fit
My muse appears as the lost nightingale at the fair
Trip over the vigorous academia in store for me
Law school is good for Ben Steins and Cochrans
But an opera singer needs to stay on track you see
The muse needs a partner to keep out the toxins
Come on the path with me, my sister
And see the world as a golden ring
Come on the path with me, sister tonight
Let the fiery angels and spirit choirs sing
Let the guardians, masters and dreamers bring
The beautiful, grandeur of music's parade....lies ahead

From The Child, To The Mourning (song)
From The Child, To The Mourning By Jesse Scobie
G C G D
A seed grows in the cracks
G D C
Of an intimate experience
G C G D
A father so proud, mother full of honesty
G D C G
What a joyous start to eternity
(repeat)
A tree forms in the concrete
Of a rusty old park in Brooklyn Heights
Light so profound, every blind man sees
The glowing hallelujah night
(repeat)
You take your first steps on the playground
Lifted by the wings of doves
Fearless child, no change in your pocket
Only thing you know is love
(Chorus)
E B A
We are born into the rolling earth
E B D A
Kissed on the forehead by a thousand suns
E B A
Traveling the road of life to learn
E B D A
Sent from celestial skies above
Transition Chords: E C D E (2x)
G C G D
See you from a forgotten portrait
G D C
Cherry smile in fogs of glass
G C G D
With eyes of Persia, watch me sail away
G D C G
Fortunetellers in sleeping masks
Journey onward my little friend
Speak the tongues of master's wise
And I will follow in the footsteps
Sink in rainbows of pure white
New seeds grow evermore
I see the beauty and the shining knight
Rescue the fates untold when families bloom
Wish away the turning tides
We are born in the oceans of fortitude
Dancing with the daughters of Jupiter
Traveling the road of life, still learning
Sent from celestial skies above
Sent from celestial skies above..
