Lost in the Beaches of L.A.

Lost in the Beaches of L.A. By Jesse Scobie Fall 2018

We met one sweet November night, in a Nashville coffee cafe
I heard you sing and croon of love, like a female Tom Petty
Your blonde hair and blue eyes lit fire as you played
I knew right then you were prepared and performance ready
You told the crowd you were traveling', but couldn't stay
It was then I felt temptation leading to the beaches of L.A.

We exchanged Facebook first, with the cell # soon to come
I met some fine Nashville girls, but you had a West Coast vibe
You showed me your Charles Spaniel, so cute and fun
But it was your songs that were the medicine I was prescribed
When you left Nashville, I couldn't let you just fade away
On an early spring morn, I took a flight to the beaches of L.A.
